“At least Elon/Trump is doing something” is indicative of a public so starved to see any kind of action at all from the government to do anything besides war and tax cuts. This has been decades in the making from stagnation and complacency (largely thanks to corporate capture).

I’m hard pressed to see an immediate future where democrats regain and hold power.

With the LA fires, CEOs being assassinated, new years violence committed by Americans, etc, it’s obvious americas biggest threats come from within. But our politics is focused on immigrants and Greenland - externalities. An ongoing failure to meet the moment.

The morality conversation is pointless. The pearl clutchers need to ask why so many people are celebrating this and actually interrogate it. There are nasty truths in there that many would prefer to ignore.

Honestly I don’t plan donating a cent more to the Democratic Party (some local elections aside) until they put some solid people in leadership. Ben is definitely one of those people.
