The church from Smig was built by the transylvanian saxons in the XV century. So it is aprox 600 years old. The german saxons were great builders :)

The first one is a beautiful house from Viscri village, Brasov country. In Viscri, King Charles III of Great Britain has a house :)
The second image is the fascinating lock mechanism that can be found in the beautiful church from Biertan village, Sibiu county.

All these churches were built by the transylvanian saxons. They came to Transylvania aprox 800 years ago, when these lands were very dangerous. They brought culture and civilization. The churches were fortified to protect communities from attacks and the church was a big part of these communities.
