Do you think I can improve it?
Which do you like best?
What would you change?

Time-lapse and a couple of old/alt versions of my Super Spandex logo creation.
Not shown here is a dozen other options before I learned to do time-lapse videos.
Can you spot where my toddler made his version?

Because superheroes should be worldwide:
🇺🇸 Meet Super Spandex: a superhero-parody action game!
🇪🇸 un juego de acción que parodia a los superhéroes!
🇫🇷 un jeu d’action parodiant les super-héros !
🇵🇹 um jogo paródia de super-heróis de ação!

I’ve never seen a game quite like this. It’s my fresh take on ridiculous heroics, throwback nostalgia, and good times all in one package. Check out this early concept art—still evolving, so let me know what you think.

Ready your spandex—evil’s on the loose! I'm thrilled to reveal Super Spandex—a comedic, over-the-top superhero parody action-platformer you can enjoy solo or with friends in local co-op.
No complicated setups, just face-to-face fun and plenty of laughs.

Stay tuned for more! #gamedev #indiegame

I've still got a long way to go to even get back my old creativity and expressiveness.
But I'm so very happy to have taken this path.

I've found so much great content online and on youtube for art courses. I only wish I had access to all this when I was a kid.
Specific shout out to Saultoons and @adamcyounis for pixel art knowledge
&
Proko (proko. com) and Unconfortable (@justdrawabox) for trad drawing.

ART! Its been such a long time since I've done any kind of art, that I found I was super rusty and had forgotten many fundamentals.
So I decided to learn again, and done 3 things:
-started doing art courses
-bought a drawing tablet (screenless Intuos Pro 2 Medium)
-tried out a bunch of apps

C'mon, this is ridiculous now.
@bsky.app can't you add some captchas??!
January 6, 2025 at 2:35 PM
This is so obviously bots. I've had several of these examples in the past few weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a coordinated move by a certain bluesky competitor.

I know we all hate twitter around these parts, but if you still use that app, it'd be useful to me if you follow me there as well:

I'm preparing my game announcement post for next week-ish and I'd like for it to have as much visibility as possible.

Btw, this post was inspired by my spouse's gift for me this morning. Can't wait to get into it.

One of my villain characters is a baby- yes, a baby.
I knew it was hard to draw babies, but evil babies?
I had to go back to basics and study human proportions...

Let’s talk about slices. 🍕
Whether vertical or horizontal, the magic lies in making just a slice of your game. Indies, stick to vertical slices: a small, polished, playable demo that hits hard. Everything your game wants to be, but compact.

I speak English, French and Spanish fluently and I'd like to see more #gaming or #gamedev content in those languages. If you know of anyone who does, please link them in here so I can follow!
Shameless self plugs are welcome, too!

Look at these things! A mix of cute + nightmare fuel.
I love 'em.
Perfect for some in this crowd. Bought a couple for kids I know ;)

Polish. Polish. Polish.
As an indie, this should be your obsession

Subconsciously as a gamer/buyer, this is what my eye focuses on.
Gamers feel it, even if they don’t realize it.

I spent way more time on this than I should've
(maybe why my game is late)
