oof... I forgot to buy a HDMI EDID dummy plug oh well. I have set up my 24/7 low power server. i3.... is certainly more underpowered than I originally thought but it'll do for a 24/7 samba share for the 24TB drive.

Budgie... still uses X11? That's a big oof. Installing bazzite-kde mostly because bazzite team has done such a superb job providing all the scripts/tools unimaginable. easy setup for a lot of things.

Never knew about that . I have used powershell a lot and found it to be one hell of a powerful tool that it is hard to like emphasize how good it is without going into a war with other nix shells. Will take a look tho !!

Because what I'm setting up is a fedora atomic for a literal tiny server to be 24/7 with the occasional sign in/out with moonlight. I just want the same 'ujust' units that bazzite has for these things. maybe.

Honestly #Budgie feels like something I would use if I wanted a different experience from #KDE. The issue is how good it is for gaming, and how light it is in terms of memory management. I recall #GNOME having memory issues with the shell many moons ago not sure if that's been resolved

I think the pandemic opened the eyes of many people of how much you can get done while at work while not dealing with the extra headaches or bosses tantrums

I have never known so much peace while working at home. No dealing with ticking bombs. Couldn’t care less about gossip or office drama and all the backstabbing/politics that followed. For office workers who just create reports, be on meetings all day what can’t be achieved while at h home

And again I totally forgot you can use homebrew with Bazzite so did install htop/nvtop and I do like my monitoring tools. #bazzite #linux #linuxgaming I do like it just uses 40w for all that extremely fast video encoding...

It never occurred to me I thought that hwaccel would be like automatically detected/used, but nope these things require a lot of manual input. That said I wish AV1 was widely supported but Apple taking its time for iOS at least.
