Looking for cheery interaction with a good old fashioned belly laugh. Staying positive.
I just bashed up an apple crumble with a tin of apples. It was a spur of the moment thing of beauty. 🥰 There were porridge oats in the crumble topping so it was actually healthy 😂

I am having to manage change at work while also managing day to day. Have a temporary staff shortage situation. I’m not actually dealing with everything very well this weekend. Somewhat feel like crying.
Got quite stressed in Sainsbury’s.

I try to advertise just one single whodunit per week, which is always free to download.

Join Octavius and his ragtag bunch of friends as they investigate a shadowy spiritualist medium recently arrived from Boston, Massachusetts, only to discover that somebody desperately wants her dead.

A Flemish folktale says a servant always went out at night and left his clothes behind. One day someone threw those clothes away. The servant never returned. He was a werewolf and because he had lost his clothes he had to stay a wolf forever.

For the sake of balance, here's my other beans-in-tomato-sauce recipe.

Anita's made it several times now, so I reckon she likes it as much as I do.

Just wait till I share my falafel recipe! 😁

Beans in tomato sauce - Michael Gallagher Writes
One of the two ways I cook beans in a tomato sauce, this recipe is lightly spiced, slightly chunky, and surprisingly buttery.

The Treasures of Gold and Wire exhibition at the Guildhall Art Gallery features this stunning and very rare funeral pall from the Fishmongers Company which I was incredibly excited to see! The pall was made between 1512 and 1530. It’s decorations include mermaids and mermen 🗃️ #earlymodern

This, for me, has to be the absolute best banana cake recipe ever.

It comes from the New Zealand Edmonds Cookery Book: a light banana sponge sandwiched with whipped cream and sliced fresh banana, and topped with the all-important icing sugar.
