Finished "FFVIIR: INTERmission" and while I just went through the story without bothering much about the side content (like that Fort Condor mini game) and I think that was smart decision. DLC works pretty nice despite having Compilation bullshit inserted in it. Now I am free to play "Rebirth".

"Your Favorite Game Dev Is Probably Using AI"

not MY favorite game dev, they're all defunct

Oneohtrix Point Never new album is definetly my favourite release this year. While the previous one was ok it is hardly anything I want to revisit with his older stuff that is as harsh being way more interesting. "Tranquilizer" on the other hand is something I will be returning to in years to come.

You hate on "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" because it uses generative AI. I hate on it because it looks like b-tier RPG with QTEs as main mechanic. Yet, we are the same in the end with valid reasons to not play it....

I have to admit that seeing two douchbags getting their ass delivered to them is surprisingly satisfying. Maybe violence is the answer after all... 🤔

I managed to finish the Jill scenario in Advance/Arranged mode. Not much game changing difference in it but it is an enjoyable version. Love that headshots worked on Beretta. Unfortunately I did not wait for Barry with the rope and got the bad ending.

That's all from "Final Fantasy VII: Remake". Great game I hope I will never have to play again...

Watched "Angel's Egg" today in cinema. Great film with immaculate vibes even if sound levels were a bit too much at times. Reminded me of an art-house european animation from 70s but at the same time it is such a unique experience it hard yo even compare it to other Oshii' works.

That's a wrap on regular Chris' scenario. Tyrant is dead and new dawn is coming. Might go now with arranged mode for Jill next.

"Dying" by Matthias Glasner is a ride. Sometimes it swirls out of the road for a moment but stays on track for most it of 3h runtime. A very sad and painful vivisection of narcissistic and dysfunctional behaviours that creep under best of intentions. Art does not save you, sadness will not end.

Chomsky hugging Bannon and having a laugh on one of Epstein's photo is a best vindication of Houellebecq's "Submission".

What I love about "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2" the most is the weather system and how operative it feels. All those places drench in rain or fog bring some childhood memories that on one hand feel nostalgic and on other bring shiver down my spine. Eastern Europe-core aesthetic I feel very ambiguous about.

Despite all the buzz atound "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" I am still reluctant to try it because it looks like "French Final Fantasy XIII with QTEs" and there is hardly a more nightmarish combination of features in an RPG for me. At least FFXIII had a slick as fuck UI which is not the case in CO:E33

With my partner we did a Satoshi Kon doble feature yesterday and watched "Paprika" and "Perfect Blue". I saw "Paprika" for the first time and its an amazing feat of imagination supported by great animation and music. Was totally amazed by it and the whole concept of dream invasion/astro turfing.

Watched "The Last Duel" and while it it is quite formulaic medieval drama that Scott has perfected like no one else, what I liked about it the most is that depicted events change only in minor details but the outlook of each character is drastically different. Plus Affleck looking like Duke Larg 👌🏻

Watched Lynch's "Dune" yesterday and it is a bizarre film. Lot of talent and work went into it and despite shortcomings I feel first half is solid but then the pace becomes so rushed that I feel I did not watch a film but an compilation of clips in a fever dream. Nothing feels earned or meaningful.

From time to time I see IG reels about conspiracy theories about "Eyes Wide Shut" and they get even more outlandish because those theories contradict the film and the workaround is "Kubrick did that on purpose to make things less obvious" which feels like complete missing the point of the film...

Going through the "Resident Evil: Director's Cut" on PS5 and it is a lot of fun. Previously I have played only the DS version but wanted to see how to original games feels by comparison. Begining was brutal but let see what awaits in the garden...

Watched a YT video about change in advertising and it is sad how blatant was the shift from console being a part of cool lifestyle to pandering to ego of worst type of losers. Pretty sad...

Finished season 2 and I have to say, while I expected to see a different show the whole conspiracy angle works despite it being stretched to its limit and I really do not know what is the point of next season.
Started watching "Severance" with my partner and first two episodes were like ok-ish but then thing spiral so hard that we binged the whole season and first episode of second one in one night till 4am. Great television, I have to admit.

My main problem with Warner being bought by Netflix, aside from war on cinema, is rhe death of physical releases. Especially that Warner did an amazing job (for a mainstream corporation) providing really great releases at affordable prices.
