I'm a nurse, wife, mother of the best adult daughter, hiker, gardener, amateur herbalist, book lover, and crystal and tarot collector. I love this journey to discovering my authentic self.
I would probably pull a crystal out of my pocket and offer it to her.

Someone needs to teach JD that when Mamaw Vance told him to say thank you for the crocheted sweater at Christmas, it does not equally apply to bad faith offers made by you to a president defending his country in a three years and counting war with a dictator.

Yes, this moment needs some S&G level shit on DC and turn any congressperson into salt if they turn back to look at it on the way out.

He told us he would fix it so good his base will never have to vote again. I'm scared you're right. Why do we continue to think the things he says are just him being wild and not the foreshadowing of his exact plans?

Here I am, wishing there was DEI in voting. There are so many women we passed on, like Elizabeth Warren, infintely more competent than our current terrible excuse for a president. Federal workers and the American people in general deserve a great leader.

Yes, and eliminate corporate money in lobbying as well.
February 28, 2025 at 12:08 PM
So true. In Ohio, there was a bill that laid out a nice health plan for all Ohioans that would cost no more than companies and employees pay currently. These bills die as soon as they hit the floor because of lobbyists. Corporate money and corrupt politicians are our entire problem in this country.

My husband and his business partner pay over $6000 per month for the insurance for the two of them, three employees, and two spouses. They do not have their employees pay into any of the cost. It is a huge expense for such a small company. Health insurance and health outcomes in the US are abysmal.

No apologizing for being you. Thousands of us are absolutely here for all of it.
February 28, 2025 at 11:26 AM
Yes, they want it this way, not just because of cost. It benefits the wealthy for us to work in jobs we can't leave and pay handsomely to insurance companies for the worst health outcomes of any comparable country. It is so much more than what lies on the surface in this crooked country.

Sanders and others have wanted Medicare for All for years. The GOP always blocks it or hands it back to us as a shadow of what it should be, hence ACA. You're right. It is barbaric, and we're trapped. These GOP obstructionists love that we work for nothing and pay privately for every little thing.

Happy birthday! Thank you for your fierce advocacy.
February 27, 2025 at 10:44 PM
Oh, I hope they do turn on him, but all the magas I know don't show any signs of it so far. He could literally take money away from them, and he will find a way to blame someone'se or something else, and magas believe him. They eat every lie he feeds them and beg for more.
February 27, 2025 at 5:28 PM
His base will rally behind this and will tolerate it when he takes away disabled, aged, and children's survivor benefits. He has already been massaging them, saying things may "hurt." He knows damn well this isn't an actual thing. Magas are easily baited by the idea that immigrants take from them.

That certainly is a materialist perspective we have been socialized to accept as fact. Programming us to deny our own power is effective control. We should question the explanation and the motive behind it. We should explore our own power, individually and as a collective.

I would like one so I can take a dump in it, or do some hex magic with it, or both. Yes, I think both.

Sadly, I think you're right.

I think I might spray paint, "Impeach and imprison" above it for a while before fixing it. I'm sorry this happened to you. Sadly, I live in a red county in Ohio, and I won't do any political signs, flags, or statements on my property or car because of the likelihood of this happening.
