We had a lot of riots in my small town. I graduated in ‘72. We also had a lot of Viet Nam deaths. I wanted the war ended. Nixon brought them home. That’s what I remember him for. But the riots…..they did change things here for the good. They also felt necessary at that time to me.

I loved that song. I was terrified because my brother was there and I was in high school. We knew he was in the Mekong Delta and the news was just so real.

I’ll admit I was raising babies so I don’t have a perfect memory but my cousin died of aids during the 80”s and I remember thinking he was a good guy on that issue. And I went out in a blizzard to vote against him so it’s not because I favored him.

Wow that is beautiful. Do you remember when Extra Orangey was all angsty crying because was it Miss Orangey or Mama Orangey (I can’t remember her name darn it) disappeared? My oldest orangey (Inky) just died last week and his brother Mr Myrtle is doing that. It’s sad.
