Finally started playing Yakuza 0 last week! For some reason, I thought earlier games in the series would be more serious since my first Yakuza game was Y7. I'm glad I was wrong.

I finished FF7 Remake over the weekend! Dumping some of the captures I took. They're pretty far apart... I think the game didn't let me take captures from the last few chapters to prevent spoiling others? I kind of have mixed feelings about how Remake handled the end of the Midgar arc, especially

Playground benches are not conducive for restoring health.

Cloud deserves to play too.

Didn't realize FF7 Remake was going to have "stealth" mini games besides the original's Shinra building... I made Cloud walk so slowy.

It's also fun playing as different characters, which is something I rarely do in games.

On an unrelated note, Aerith's garden is so pretty.

I like how this game handles weapon upgrades. In my experience, weapons quickly become obsolete in JRPGs after you buy new ones. In this game, I change my weapons and armor when a battle demands it. I never really used linked materia in the original game. (I probably didn't understand it back then.)

I'm not really an action game person, but I quite like how the Tales of series and FF7R handle their battle systems. FF7R is kind of a blend compared to the Tales of games I've played since there's still in-battle menus. Still, very fun despite my being bad at them!

Tifa is so incredibly patient... I was very very bad at the lever game.

I can definitely see benefits to having Cloud form relationships with the original AVALANCHE members and Sector 7 inhabitants. It'll probably make future story beats more impactful.

With that being said, I don't remember this portion of the game very well. I haven't played the original in ages. I might change my mind once I finish the game. My preference is probably clouded by nostalgia and impatience.

Played a little more of FF7 Remake. Okay, I get how they were able to stretch out the Midgar segment of the story now. From a plot standpoint, I kind of prefer the original's faster pace. But in terms of worldbuilding, I appreciate how much they fleshed out the Sector 7 slums and its residents.

Finally getting around to playing FF7 Remake... I'll try to avoid spoiling anyone who happens to come across my tweets.

I don't know why, but seeing Cloud walking around with a corsage with that expression on his face really amused me. Also, cats are beloved both in real life and video games.
