ive tabled at columbus abf, new orleans poetry fest, detroit abf, midwest qtzf, pittsburgh abf, mdw, and some zine fairs here and there, and usually i think my target audience are people who tend to also be tabling there lol, so also broke and trying to sell stuff. ill def add to the spreadsheet

most fairs im at are because of relationships i have, and are either free or cheap to table, and in cities where i know folks, or subsidized by an institution, so my costs are generally p low and as a result i dont build a table around what sells anyway

thanks! it varies from fair to fair. i feel like i tend to make stuff in the middle of an imaginary "zine—artist book—commercial/literary book" triad—too expensive to be a zine, too structurally goofy to go on the bookshelf or wall, too flimsy and cheap to be "Book Arts".

as a smaller artist book publisher ive only ever barely broken even, and usually thats with new, small fairs or comped table fees. and even then its just that meme about tipping just being workers passing around the same $5—anything i make typically goes to the table next to me lol

The most Republican guy is the guy who owns the used car dealership, a tanning salon, and a boat in a place that has been economically decimated by deindustrialization
