Today I took a break and got out on my mountain bike. I rode a trail that is pretty steep and “chunky.”
I needed that reminder that I am strong and brave. Then I came home and just soaked in the sun for a bit.

It was a great day for a peaceful protest.
I’d say there were 75 or so people who literally SHOWED UP today.
And in JACKSON county, NC no less. By far, the vast majority of cars who interacted with us were in support—by like 90%!
I’m going to celebrate my rights as long as I still have them. 1/2

It was a great day for a peaceful protest.
I’d say there were 75 or so people who literally SHOWED UP today.

Friday I got outside and had a “normal” day. It was incredible to get on my mountain bike and feel light…free…even joyful at moments.
I was surprisingly strong and confident on my bike. Everything felt easier than it looked. I thought about what a beautiful parallel for these times. 1/2 🧵

I spent years in another house in another state. All the years in that house, I wished that I had a pantry, a soaking bath tub and a utility sink.
When we made the move to the mountains, I had a “must have” list of 3 things (not these) that I don’t remember now what all 3 were!
