They were never that low here. I remember 1.99 a dozen.

Bird flu is the obvious reason for the scarcity and price gouging when it comes to eggs. We also have bird flu in our dairies but so far it hasn’t affected the price of milk.

I’ve tried a couple other food podcasts, but food professionals often forget how much drudgery there is when you’re cooking for people who make dinner time a battle. I’m not making a fish stew or using preserved lemons. I’m cooking from a Venn diagram tbh.

Day 8 is more stickers. Day 9 is a notebook that is in no way related to Gilmore Girls, and I supposed I can write in it with the blank pencil from Day 3. But Day 6 is a very cool pin. Day 10 is gift tags. Day 11 is a key chain.

Day 7 is a cork circle that could be a coaster but is too small for any human sized cup. Day 12 is a piece of cardboard that isn’t big enough to be a bookmark and is not a sticker. Day 13 is a glass stone that could be a magnet but has no magnetic backing.

Day 5 was a blank brown sticker with the outline of a coffee cup. I used my white paint pen to make it make sense.

After the disappointment of Day 3 I gave up. Here are Days 4-13.

It claims to be official, but after getting a plain pencil on day 3 I’m pretty sure this was made as cheaply as possible and is in no way official!

Day 3 is a plain wooden pencil. This has me concerned about the rest of the days. When I ordered this I freaked out that maybe it was a scam, so we’ll see tomorrow. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Iris decided to do the Lego Princess calendar this year. Rory is doing Star Wars.

Next, the line about going from Sacramento to San Francisco in two hours and saying “you made good time,” is stupid. 90 minutes is good time. An hour forty-five is what Maps projects. Two hours+ and you’ve hit traffic. This only matters if you live in NorCal outside the Bay Area, niche, I know.

I just think this scene could have been tweaked a bit so that she’s kind of ranting and thus it would make sense for her to be listing all the things that happened in an exasperated way. But it was played way too straight.
