Dad. First against the wall when the robot AI agents come for us. Firmware/hardware/LiFePO4 engineer working in renewable energy storage. he/him.
That's pretty good range for that size of battery! I wish I had a more efficient EV (2015 S 85D, I can usually only count on ~200 miles in good weather holding that speed.)

What's your cruising speed?

That dude's I AM NOT INVOLVED IN FASCISM t-shirt is raising a lot of questions directly addressed by the shirt.

Can't wait for the pendulum to swing back the other way and for Woke II to zero out his wealth and put him in a zoo.

Ah... do you know for sure that the neutral connection was fine with being wired to a live 120v leg? Normally you don't want to do that with appliances that expect 240v L-N.

You know, we have a propane grill that's gotten to the point of needing to be replaced and I can't tell you how many times I've wished someone made an electric grill that had a J-plug. I figure 12kW would be more than enough for a decent sized grill...

I can't think about how much we could be doing if all the money being funneled into AI were going towards renewables instead because it makes me angry enough to Do Something, and as a father of two kids I can't really go to prison right now.

we have surrounded ourselves by so many machines of so many kinds it's no wonder that we've come to think of ourselves as scientifically rational wealth-optimizing machines, which ultimately makes us reproducible and replaceable, and makes us treat life as a series of functions to be lubricated

Don’t get too cocky or the bike gods will spite you with one of those flats that’s caused by a bit of car tire belt wire lodging itself into the tire.

Oh man, backup cameras are one of the greatest developments (along with Bluetooth becoming standard)… saves backing into way more than just children.

Full electric, right? I'd guess 3%, and maybe 7% if you include hybrids.
November 25, 2025 at 8:41 PM
...no, it most certainly would not. Wow.

Perhaps the biggest unsung hero in modern food abundance is fossil-derived fertilizers. Unless you eat 100% organic food, we're now all partially fossil-fueled.

I was today years old when I saw the term "post-nut interview" for the first time, and I don't want to know if that's something the bot made up.
