Young Jayce was rescued by passing travellers, but his mother did not survive. Adopted into clan Giopara and still haunted by his trauma, 26-year-old Jayce is now a friendless academy researcher aching for a direction in life. Such a direction will come in the form of an unexpected job offer from Clan Ferros and the meeting with Heimerdinger's charming assistant. Will the prospect of love and fame finally bring him peace?
