👁️As we mark #GlaucomaAwarenessMonth, new research in BJO shows glaucoma cases in the UK are higher than previously thought and could rise to over 1.6m by 2060.

January is #GlaucomaAwarenessMonth👁️

Research at @moorfields.bsky.social showed that a single laser treatment (SLT) can safely lower eye pressure, often reducing the need for daily eye drops.
This led NICE to recommend SLT as first-line care for glaucoma.
