I had a lot of fun shooting them! I was able to get within 5 feet and as long as I stayed still and quiet they continued to play right outside their den!

I'm super happy with my new Canon R6 Mark ii, it was so dark that this picture would be impossible on my older APS-C camera. I miss the 1.6 crop factor but I don't miss the extra limitations on when I could shoot.

I had a lot of fun getting my camera into an angle that could actually take a picture of this Cooper's Hawk. I was directly below them with the tripod leaned so far it would fall over if I wasn't holding it.

This kestrel is never going to come down from there. I don't even feel guilty putting the teleconverter on.
