Another fun little low-poly scene.
'Will this hidden cave entrance lead to a side-area or the next act of the game, permanently breaking every active NPC questline? The answer might surprise you!'

Playing Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and I'm so damn salty right now.

Another entry in my 'there is no such thing as too much bloom' series. I wish I spent some more time painting in some extra grime and dirt, but these are meant to be quick exercises and sometime you just have to move on. #blender + #photoshop

Quick little scene using the new texture pack by @strideh.bsky.social. Might have gone a little too hard on the bloom here.

My hard-drive with nearly a decade of my art and gamedev stuff died somewhere between me taking it out of my old machine and putting it in my new one.

Pain.

Anyway, I just finished reinstalling Blender and Photoshop so here's a happy little tree.

Not sure how to feel about the discover feed oscillating between 'all US politics, all the time' and 'bet you didn't know this was someones kink'.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I really could have gone without seeing a grown man wearing nothing but a loaded diaper today.

This is more than a little inspired by Suguru Tanaka, who I don't think is on Bluesky. Dude loves his weirdly brutalist hellscapes with uncomfortable fleshy bits, which are things I happen to love also. #blender + photoshop.

Just finished Slitterhead, what a wonderful mess of a game. There's a whole laundry list of things that don't quite work as well as they should, but man did I love it anyway.

Another doodle, leaning a bit more into the quake side of things. Some kind of blood aquaduct, maybe? A sanguisduct? Might be fun to expand this to a bigger scene.

Small study, blender + photoshop. Used some textures made by the talented @strideh.bsky.social, although I did mess with them a little.

Remember when game protagonists were relatable?

I think I'll read through Transmetropolitan again. I bet it's cynical view of society and politics is going to be downright quaint considering current events.

Noodling around in blender after looking at some cool miniatures.

Some random game jam stuff that never made it over the finish line.

Some experiments with building 3D environments from a 2D tileset. Still quite like how these came out.

More brutalism, but this time it's also pixelated.

At one point I got really into brutalist architecture. I'm pretty sure this one is based on an actual park somewhere in Germany. I animated a walk-through, but sadly it doesn't look like bluesky supports video yet.

More gamejam stuff, the story in this one somewhat mirrors my own descent into madness as the deadline got closer and closer. You can play this one here: raydude.itch.io/souvenir

A SHMUP style game I did for a gamejam, I still quite like the art I banged out for this despite the limited timeframe. You can play this one at raydude.itch.io/cryolancer

Going to post some old work to fill out my timeline a bit, here's an old scifi tileset I still really like from when I was experimenting with a 3D>2D workflow. The color palette is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
