Yesterday I participated in the Christmas Bird Count at Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge with some other amazing queers and getting to bird parts of the refuge not open to the general public was absolutely an amazing privilege! #birds

Yesterday I participated in the Christmas Bird Count at Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge with some other amazing queers and getting to bird parts of the refuge not open to the general public was absolutely an amazing privilege! #birds
My first CBC event was good for solo. I birded by foot for 9.05 miles in around 5 hours and tracked 517 individual birds spanning around 30 species. I look forward to CBC for the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge next weekend. #birds

Today I got to see a Booby! A Cocos Booby to be exact. Very rare for Oregon and especially inland in Portland. It should be warm in Mexico but probably caught a ride on a cargo boat. Too far for camera so I had to digiscope it but #birds !!

Found my 150th life bird today and it was a rare bird that shouldn’t have been inland in Portland and no one else has found it but I took photos so I swear it exists!!
