Apple has the hardware, software and ecosystem. Untapped potential for something they're already good at.

Ingenious idea how to "hack" human psychology and let the machine works for you in your favour instead.

Piracy is often painted with a bad light, but if you take the time to explain your plight and how to best support you.

People usually more than happy to do so.

I’ve spoken about the Junior Paradox on my podcast before — and this article nails it. It echoes my fears, my concerns, and more importantly, it acknowledges the new reality: juniors + AI are reshaping how we work.

WhatsApp Rolls Out Message Translation on iOS in 19 Languages
WhatsApp Rolls Out Message Translation on iOS in 19 Languages
WhatsApp has announced the rollout of its new translation feature, allowing users to translate messages into their preferred language directly within the app. The feature is launching gradually across iPhone and Android devices for one-on-one chats, group conversations, and Channel updates. To translate a message, simply long-press on the text and tap the "Translate" option. Users can then select both the source and target languages, with the ability to download language packs for future use. WhatsApp says that all translations occur locally on the user's device, in line with the app's end-to-end encryption that ensures even parent company Meta can't see message content. WhatsApp users on iPhone get translation support for over 19 languages, including Dutch, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. Android users can access translation in six languages, but they do get an additional convenience feature: automatic translation for entire chat threads. Once enabled, all incoming messages in a conversation are automatically translated without requiring manual activation for each message. The rollout follows Apple's introduction of Live Translation for Messages as part of its iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe launch earlier this month. WhatsApp plans to expand language support in future updates, but it didn't say when the feature will come to WhatsApp for web or desktop.Tag: WhatsApp This article, "WhatsApp Rolls Out Message Translation on iOS in 19 Languages" first appeared on MacRumors.com Discuss this article in our forums

I've got messages from people on Stackoverflow and GitHub issues about how useful the plugin is with some feature suggestions.

Now, I'm flirting with the idea with Craft and Capacities for no apparent reason.

Perhaps the best note taking app is already in my hands and it's free! Apple's Notes, Reminders and Freeform!

Didn't realised Firefox Gecko engine was slow until I switched back to Chrome to get something to work.

1) Is it because websites are optimised for Chromium?
2) Firefox is slow, there's no way around it?
3) Speed is subjective, if there's no Chromium, you've nothing better to compare with.

Just heard that Vimeo is bought over by Bending Spoons, then I realised there's a long list of companies that has been acquired by this entity and two things comes to mind.

1) What does the company actually do?
2) How can they afford to buy so many well known companies?

Spotify Premium Users Get Lossless Streaming After Years of Delays
Spotify Premium Users Get Lossless Streaming After Years of Delays
Spotify has officially rolled out lossless audio streaming to Premium subscribers after years of delays. The feature, which was first promised in 2021, is gradually becoming available in 50 markets including the US, UK, Australia, and Germany. Thankfully, Spotify includes lossless streaming at no additional cost for existing Premium members. That's particularly good news, since early rumors suggested Spotify would offer lossless as a higher-priced tier. Not so. This probably has something to do with the fact that in the intervening years Apple decided to include lossless audio as part of its regular Apple Music subscription at no additional cost. Shortly after, Amazon Music, which previously charged extra for its HD tier, matched the move. Spotify Premium users will receive in-app notifications when the feature becomes available and can enable it through the media quality settings. A lossless indicator also appears in the Now Playing bar when streaming high-quality audio. Spotify says nearly every song on the streaming service will be available in lossless, with a clearly labelled 'Lossless' symbol. The service supports 24-bit/44.1 kHz FLAC files, though this falls short of Apple Music, Tidal, and Qobuz, which offer up to 24-bit/192 kHz. The lossless quality being played also appears in the Connect Picker for compatible hardware, which includes devices from Sony, Bose, Samsung, and Sennheiser at launch, with Sonos and Amazon integration expected next month. Spotify says the lossless rollout will continue over the next two months across all supported regions. First reports that Spotify was working on a lossless audio version of its streaming service appeared almost eight years ago, when the company started testing the option with a small group of users.Tag: Spotify This article, "Spotify Premium Users Get Lossless Streaming After Years of Delays" first appeared on MacRumors.com Discuss this article in our forums

Although I give a lot of shit for BCNY, but it did awaken something within me.

They made me actually care about browsers.

If you asked me 5 years ago, what browser would I like to use. I will say, it's just a freaking browser man? Who gives a shit as long it works.
September 8, 2025 at 7:15 PM
I've migrated to @zen-browser.app and have been trying adjust my workflow from Arc.

Yesterday, I was trying to do something as mundane as order tickets to a cinema. No big deal, I've done it multiple times in a past.

But, the frustrating part is that no matter how much I've tried. I'm just stuck.
September 8, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Ever since the BCNY announced that Arc is placed under maintenance mode, because the work "is completed".

The service has been degrading severely lately, until the point that it started to get in the way.

There's noticeable slow startup, pinned tabs stopped loading, YouTube is practically broken!
