I have become disillusioned with the American Dream as a “good life”. Or rather, I have found it in my time to be unattainable. How then do I live a “good life”? If I accept that life has no inherent meaning, how do I react? Do I give up? Do I make my own meaning? Or do I reject both of those?

On my drive in this morning, some psycho laid on his horn because I was going a constant speed as he was taking his on-ramp on. Then he cut me off later really close, and on purpose. I lost. I laid on my horn in retribution. I can be better than that. I hope he figures out what is making him mad.

Having a midlife crisis as a millennial feels totally different. Men of the previous generation might go out and get a sports car and find a younger woman. I’m probably going to just let myself get the avocado toast and let go of my dream to own a home and continue living alone in my rental.

If I refer to it as a half life crisis, it poses the added benefits of not having a stigma, implies a definite death at 68, and it sounds like my life is a radioactive element slowly decaying. ☢️

I want to say that if you're over the legally recognized age of retirement, you shouldn't be allowed to run for any government office, but I'm afraid Congress would just raise the age of retirement. We'll never win.

I just finished reading I, Robot. It ends very differently than the movie. I recommend reading it in light of the advances of AI we are currently experiencing.

I used to use Twitter to vent all my inner thoughts, but things got crazy over there. I did without for a while, but after that meeting with Zelenski I need a new outlet. So this is my first BlueSky post.
