NOW: Opponents of SB1, the higher ed. overhaul bill, are rallying in the basement of the Ohio Statehouse.

Bill had a hearing today, with 600+ listed opp. testimony. Committee was cut off at 12pm, only hearing from about 15.

TODAY: The Ohio Senate passed SB 1, the controversial college overhaul bill.

The bill passed on party lines, except Repubs Tom Patton & Bill Blessing voting no.

Students protested immediately after vote.

TODAY: At least 100 people are rallying at the Ohio Statehouse to protest against President Donald Trump & Project 2025.

This is part of the nationwide ‘50501 Movement,’ whose organizers say they oppose fascism & Trump’s executive orders and policies.

NOW: A bipartisan group of House & Senate lawmakers is introducing a bill to prohibit any state funds to "end the life" of Ohioans.

It would abolish the death penalty & assisted suicide. It would also "clarify" the state's ban on abortion funding.
