Also, casters who mix in attacks are so much fun at low levels in PFS. I can cast a save cantrip and still hit at like 60% of a martial with a weapon? So good.

I’m not even sure what swingy means In this case. Low level fights in 1E are rough even if you aren’t making folks taste the rainbow. The CR system is awkward compared to PF2‘s levels and spells like Electric Arc and Needle Darts mean you contribute without insta-winning.

That would involve a set of 1E players learning the game and after 20 years of the 3.x engine, they cannot be bothered to learn something different. That would involve not playing a solved system.
