Looks like this ↓
And pretty much… I don’t exactly dislike sweet things as a whole, but I don’t like overwhelming sweet flavors or dense sweet foods. I prefer if it is paired with other things, like something bitter or earthy.

It is a hard candy flavored like dried and aged tangerine peels 🍊 Very tangy and sweet, but also kind of herbal-y so it has a really fun and interesting flavor imo. Even as someone who isn’t that into candy, I really like them 😆

I ran out of the hawthorn/roselle and this time it wasn’t even because I ate them. I showed immaculate restraint actually.

Strangely honored 😌 Composure training.
Yes, I… struggled mightily… Ahem…

I will resolve this dilemma in the only way I know how:

The tempting whispers… lol. I’m making my way through 300 Years of Longing, very slowly since it hasn’t quite gripped me yet, but the whole time my mind is like, “…But you know what novel Does grip you?”
Can’t argue with that 😪

LOL no no, nothing like that 😆 It’s just that my knowledge & skill is fairly limited as I also learn, and sometimes art advice can be theoretically helpful, but less sensical more of a challenge in practice… 🫠… In any case, of course you can 😌
(And ty! My Ququ of the month heheh).

There are worse things to channel obsessions into than art 😌 So long as one takes care of themself in the process, I think it is very human. I am glad to be of even a little use hahaha. If you ever think of anything in the future, just give me a poke and I’ll offer whatever I can.

Developing a preferred step-by-step process for the whole and for individual parts of a piece does make things easier, eventually it will become muscle memory and you will be more consistent.
Most important: be very obsessed with something and you will improve no matter what 😌

Wahaha you are kind to say so. Mm I guess some things that have helped me: observe in terms of shapes and not lines, work from large forms down to small details, study art you like often and with purpose, focus improving 1 aspect at a time (hair, face, anatomy, folds, color, etc) to avoid overwhelm.

As for tips, general tips or ones specific to hair and whatnot? I’m still finding my own style and preferred workflow really, but I have probably picked up some things along the way, maybe… Lol.
