This account is mostly to track books I've read, fungi I've seen, and (hopefully) keep track of friends as other social networks break.

Feel free to suggest non-fiction books or scifi/horror/speculative-fiction/adjacent short stories.
I'm looking for positive, funny, or pleasantly cozy science fiction or fantasy short stories to read at my short story group. Suggestions? Anyone?

Dark fantasy. Decadent, violent and very biological. Opera, perfume, and a strange tree city. The stories of an exterminato and a perfumer intertwine with political plotting and a man looking for his missing brother. . Slow growing layered worldbuilding.

Her heros are pragmatic and her worldbuilding relentlessly logical. Even as they run off a cliff it makes sense how they got there.
