Does he realise that culture and countries are ever-changing??

But why does it matter?

While listening and reading are slightly different and do different things to the brain, I don’t think it really matters. Audiobooks are great because you can get stuff done while “reading” ☺️☺️ exercise, clean the house…

You’re one person. You’re not an expert on autism. You’re only an expert on your own autism. It’s widely documented that a lot of autistic people don’t display emotions the way NTs do. You’re dismissing the realities of those with higher support needs than you. Be better.

Yeah that was a bit strange to say the least 😩

I found reading the book Let the Right One In more enjoyable than watching the film. I loved the references to 1980s Sweden. If you’re not Swedish you’ll miss out on a lot of the magic.

I personally loved the scene where they’re all in a taxi, playing a game of who can name the most sparkling water brands. I felt that it summarised the whole point of the story.

Fight club and American psycho always come up for me where I’m not at all a fan of the films but love the books

I guess my experience is different. My autistics son’s reaction to 90% of things is: 😕. Someone jumps out and scares him? 😕 He sees his grandfather and grandfather’s new puppy? 😕 he’s receiving a Christmas present? 😕 His lack of facial expressions would make most people assume he doesn’t gaf.
