I would guess this is driven by suburban white and Latino voters. This won't be nationwide or likely permanent. *However*, I think this is a good indication that Texas might be a blood bath for the GOP this November.

Don't forget this - an agent visibly removes the victim's firearm from his back waistband, where he never attempted to reach. That agent yells "gun", causing another to panic react and shoot. Don't forget that when the Nazis try to tell us this man was armed. He was disarmed, then executed.

#UPDATE Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at Davos, said "instead of becoming a truly global power, Europe remains a beautiful but fragmented kaleidoscope of small and middle powers," adding: "Europe looks lost trying to convince the US president to change"

I overestimated a bit, they've got around 185 stores in the US, but more than 500 worldwide. Most in Europe and the UK.

They don't just sell Warhammer stuff, they also relentlessly promote the hobby, holding tournaments, paint workshops, book signings. It's a big expansion push as the universe is doing so well in video games and maybe TV soon as well.

They have like ~250 stores in the US I think, nearly 500 worldwide. And all over the place too, I'm moving from NJ to Sioux Falls, SD in January and my time to get to a Warhammer store is decreasing from about 35 minutes to about 15! Games Workshop is running a real business.

Hard to know! This was 350ish years ago. Clerical error, difference in philosophy, maybe malice? It would be a fascinating research project if a historian could find the answer.

Matthias Nicoll served as both the 6th and 8th Mayor, but is only counted as the 6th. John Lawrence was the 7th. So no one missing as far as we know, just a miscounted term.

Miscount of NYC mayors spans centuries, archive search confirms
An official document from 1674 confirms that Zohran Mamdani should be sworn in as the 112th mayor, not the 111th.

Sounds like its not that they missed a guy, but that they missed one of the Mayors had non-consecutive terms. Like historians in a few hundred years only counting Trump as the 45th, things would get out of order (and maybe they wouldn't realize how badly we fucked up).

When I was a volunteer firefighter I'd pretend I was getting a call and needed to rush out of the house.

Culture is all encompassing. This is innocuous and maybe even slightly positive (re: increasing options for people that don't drink caffeine). It's also indicative of a cultural trend against perceptions of vice and a subcultural drive towards things that vibe as healthy.

If you have like a local farmers or flea market places like that often have specialty importers of British and European sweets.

Maybe! And if it works out that way I'll have been happily wrong. I just worry this is an example of left wing politicians getting elected and then closing the door behind them. Not out of malice, but because it's really hard to constantly be fighting the machine. We will have to see.

EMS are not equipped to handle violent scenes. Period.
