You should really go back and play Trails of Cold Steel (and honestly, the others) if you haven't already.

Then we need a reason as to why they're doing this. Lycaon is not the first character to be recast with no warning. Soukaku, Argenti, Huohuo/Tail, and Tingyun were others that no one knew were replaced until it happened and with very little reason given, if any.

Plenty of VAs have been both available and on strike. They are on strike with companies that refuse to sign the Interim contract, but that doesn't mean they aren't available for work. He was and always was available, Hoyo just decided they would ghost him, not sign the Interim, and then replace him.

I did as well, they did the same exact thing to Argenti's VA last year and I don't think he was even on strike and he was still replaced. Huohuo/Tail and Tingyun were also replaced with no notice. I uninstalled ZZZ and HSR. I just can't.

Pick whichever seems the most interesting to you, tbh. I'd personally rec 10 if only because it's on basically every console (and PC) and it's turn based and linear (in a good way) so it's one of the better games to start with. After that, go ham.
