But so is fire to repel wild animals. The sounds imitating the apex predator do the same for me.
Also the focus has been on the "IT'S SO BIG" of the weapons for me. Even Dual-Blades are big ass knifes compared to kitchen knifes.

The one thing that kinda redeems it for me is the fact, that they have been perfectly fine until a certain white leech (and I think there might be some wink-wink in that color choice) thew everything off balance. Gemchimes etc make it believable for me
