No I am actually enjoying the fact that the team can only win games when its two best players (Nylander and Tavares of course who did you think I was talking about) make absolutely heroic and/or highlight of the year plays, on the same play

It's tough man, this team sucks (on the [w]hole) but also you're not really punting on the season yet, so maybe let your actual players instead of Cowan do zone entries on PP1 when you're in a position like this and you need a goal to cut it to a 2-goal deficit before the 2nd intermission

Without being a hockey guy, I actually think the "defend the house" mindset is the issue. Their first thought constantly is "get to a specific spot on the ice." No outlets, nobody covers anyone, everybody in defensive posture, and they always play on their heels. And it's horrible to watch

How is a reverse by McCabe when he's drawn 2 guys to him going past Benoit and being a turnover. It doesn't make any sense. These guys don't know where to be or what to do. It's insane to watch

Not really sure what to say huh. The Leafs dominate play, they hit a post on the powerplay, and then they make a mistake at the offensive blue line, never touch the puck, the goalie gets interfered with, and it's 1-0. And then a random bounce lands perfectly and it's 2-0. What are ya gonna do

It is just ice-level noise which is amazing, but that means I can't hear them sing the praises of this other Xhekaj as he skates full speed the length of the ice to finish a check through the numbers

Right now the CBC Gem stream of HNIC doesn't have the announcer/talking heads audio track. If this continues we might just get ice-level noise for the game. This is the most excited I've been for a Leafs game in possibly like 8 years
