Every year, a little kitten comes to sharpen its claws on the kitchen cupboard. And when the entire cupboard is chiseled away, the first second of eternity will have passed.

These pictures are all from Rihours, which used to be the station I got off at every day and saw the “hidden area” from the escalator… and now I can walk in it! So weird! (photo of me bemused at being in hidden area)

Everything is new! Except it’s not new at all, it’s like six years old already. And the new trains themselves won’t be here until mid-2026 (assuming no more delays).

That means there are certain areas that they renovated 6+ years ago preparing for the metro trains that never arrived, which they just opened. It’s like unlocking the area of a video game that you could see but never reach!

So the Lille metro has been waiting for new metro trains (double the length) for about a decade, delayed for various reasons, including the need to redo all the software. Still no new trains, but today they launched the new software and swapped which end the current metro stops at.

So no surprise to see Amaral again. Surprised there’s no Doctor Who (but then I also have these in my iPhone Music library) or Barbie (but I guess multiple artists). Steven Universe mostly demonstrates how many exams I had to grade last year.
