i moved to Inoreader, that was the closest as I get to Google Reader experience
i dont think RSS died, it's still usable on 90% of the sites. It's just not as comfortable as a algorithm that does the work for the user to filter everything. Maybe it's also that there is no endless content like a social media feed, on RSS there is a "all finished seeing/reading" state
