Holy shit, I found the First Christian Church in American Truck Simulator, it's in Twin Falls Idaho. Which is odd since I thought Christianity started during the 1st century around the Eastern Mediterranean, which is A) not in America and B) around 1400 years before Christianity reached America...

#TheOuterWorlds2 is a very silly game a lot of the time, but as soon as I stepped into the Mental Refreshment Facility and saw this, it hit me, hard. The Protectorate are evil, this facility is a concentration camp, and this section really summarises my biggest problem with the game. [1/4]

Featuring our moon in a fantasy world.

It reeks of lazy world building to me. You're telling me this isn't our world, yet, I can look up at the Sea of Tranquillity?
Gah, it's not that hard to have a different moon!

I picked up @sarahbethdurst.bsky.social's book The Spell Shop yesterday at @waterstones.bsky.social and it's amazing! If it wasn't for my university assignment I'd be sitting down with a cuppa tea and binging it!

I've been playing a lot of Elden Ring on the SteamDeck while visiting my parents.
Despite the near constant gloom and sense of death, disease, and corruption that cloaks the Lands Between like a miasmic fog, there are moments when it's truly beautiful!

I've been meaning to clean my desk for ages but #ADHD got in the way for 2 months. I had to treat myself to a new, larger, desk matt featuring a map of the Sword Coast, but I finally cleaned my desk!
My cute rubber duck collection is all together now too💙

After finishing #PokemonLegendsZA, I can't help but feel like this is an amazing story that would have benefited from releasing a year or two after X & Y. Considering ZA is a sequel to a 12-year-old game, I feel like a lot of the call-backs and legacy characters won't be remembered by most players.

I'm writing a bunch of short stories set on my own original fantasy universe and I have this massive mind map, each tap in it has a word doc attached that explains the details of the thing it mentions. This is just so I can keep track of this world in my head :P

Something that bothers me with #TombRaiderAnniversary is how the game sexualises Lara. Take the position of the camera when Lara has to fit through tight spaces. The older games kept the camera at a distance, viewing of her whole body, Anniversary focuses on her ass to an obscene degree.

I’m reading ‘Tomb Raider The Amulet of Power’ right now and it’s very interesting. On the one hand it captures Core Design era Lara very well. On the other hand, Lara Croft used a slur and that makes me very uncomfortable. I will have to review this one!
