Not sure what that last bit about your education is in reference to, but the reason they do it during pride month is because doing it year-round would mean losing customers who throw a fit over pride. They keep it to pride month because it's an extra boost in pander money with no real downside.

Maybe make him a bit larger overall? Like keep his face mostly the same, but make his proportions a bit more similar to Orange.

Imagine being so wrong that you confidently state brands pretend to care during pride month because the LGBT community forces them to, and not because they realize pandering to a demographic makes for easy money.
