I think it is because evil people like Hitler connect with the evil in certain men’s hearts and that connection transcends all else. The time does not matter.

I speak as an outsider, but I never understood why the first item on Biden’s list when he took office was not to ensure the former president (and his cohorts)were arrested, held and then convicted for their leadership in the attempted coup on Jan 6th. The evidence was there from the beginning.
