We're here to build a society that works for all of us, we can't leave people behind
That's why being in Lewisham was so inspiring, seeing the community come out to stand up and be counted, people from all different backgrounds, races, religions coming together united

Today is Human Rights Day

We have people held without trial, in our own country, political prisoners who are now putting their bodies on the line to raise awareness and resist injustice. Some have been on hunger strike for over a month. Their lives are at risk
December 10, 2025 at 5:21 PM
I've just come out of the inner east community committee meeting, only 6 out of the 12 (6 labour councillors missing) turned up for a statutory meeting.
Greens will continue representing Gipton and Harehills and fighting for our community

Amu Gib is extremely frail
For 10 days the prison refused to acknowledge she was on hunger strike

Another prisoner, Qesser (20), has dangerously low BP + high heart rate, blocked from hospital care

They're political prisoners held without trial
They must be bailed and proper medical treatment 🇵🇸
December 3, 2025 at 11:32 PM
on my way to visit two of the Hunger Strike prisoners who are being held at HMP Bronzefield

These political prisoners are demanding the closure of Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, it supplies at least 85% of the land army equipment and drones used by the Israeli military

While there's a mirage of ceasefire in Gaza the killing continues
Every now and then it hits home even harder
During the midst of this so called ceasefire, the Israel forces fired a missile killing the uncle and 3 cousins of Dr Omar Al-Tabbaa, chair of LGM. More innocent lives taken, more war crimes

There are proposals to cancel Indefinite Leave to Remain.
That would tear families apart — including my own.
My wife could have been separated from her children under. People like my friend Tariq, who’ve lived here since babies, could be taken from their communities.

These people are Britain.
