I think Toys to Life games like Skylanders had potential but the downside was that the games almost always were significantly less fun, or borderline unplayable if you didn't.
But using a figure to add to an already fun game would be a neat concept.

I barely used this thing growing up but I always thought GBA connectivity with GameCube stuff was cool.

Tenchu Stealth Assassins review:
Game kinda sucks ngl. Really cool ideas and nails the execution in a lot of ways but just doesn't feel fun to play. Still recommend for anyone interested in the history of stealth gaming as it's surprisingly competent for an early fully 3D stealth game
