This one looks delicious, but known to be bitter. So, I really identify with this one. It has antibacterial properties, and, oddly enough, antifungal. If you see this one about, let it be! They're generally considered endangered. #fungifriends

This freaky jelly fungus is 100% edible, even raw! It doesn't have much flavor, but the color and consistency is a nice addition to soups or sauces, especially those with organic Hansel and Gretel ingredients. #fungifriends

This freaky jelly fungus is 100% edible, even raw! It doesn't have much flavor, but the color and consistency is a nice addition to soups or sauces, especially those with organic Hansel and Gretel ingredients. #fungifriends

A dentist's worst nightmare, this fungus actually does have teeth instead of gills or pores underneath.
Like novelty Halloween candy, it too is edible, yet nasty. The "blood" actually has anticoagulant properties like heparin. #fungifriends

While edible, it's bitter and easily confused with other, deadly, purple Cortinarius. She's gorgeous AND she has an element of danger‽ Makes me love her all the more.

Today's makes blue milk! Sorry Star Wars fans, it's actually liquid latex. I know, I was disappointed too. It's edible after cooking ,and science says it even has the ability to fight cancer cells. Maybe the force is with it after all!
