Say what you want about Putin, I don't think he literally wants his, what, five major population centers deleted? Russia is big but it's as delectably nukable as, say, Norway.

The democrats are far to the right of what would be considered left in, say, Norway. I don't think there's an actual leftist party in federal US govt. Even US socdems are basically righties with a heavier leftist lean.

I'm concerned with populists and single issue voters on the right vs the left. On the right they'll let anyone in if they pledge allegiance, while on the left we're in a sense all-exclusive if purity can't be proven. We're just breaking rank over and over and you know that's no way to push forward.

Schumer and Pelosi need to be off the table, but I think it's a mistake to focus too much on personalities in a two party system. Look at where you are now. You realistically have nowhere to go, there's no meaningful third party alternative.

That's fair, we can disagree. I'm always fine tuning. I just start with the supposition that judgmentally applying broad terms is foolish. Politics are not immutable characteristics. I find most people are more amenable to progressive movements the less broadly you judge them.
