The most impressive thing Clinton Portis ever did was get traded for a Hall of Fame cornerback in his prime (Champ Bailey) AND a second round draft pick! Of all the really horrible Daniel Snyder moves, that had to be top 5? And to be a top 5 Snyder bad move is VERY impressive!

Two years earlier (1994) they were heavily criticized when they went 6-4-1 during the regular season, but still got an invitation to play on New Years Day in the Fiesta Bowl, where they got run off the field by Colorado.

Lou Holtz resigned in November 1996 but finished the season. The decision to turn down a bowl game was made by the players w/ 1 player (Autry Denson?) saying, “you don’t come to ND to go to the Independence Bowl”. In 1997 with Bob Davie as coach, they accepted an invitation to the Independence Bowl.

Watching the RB completely no sell the fake handoff, and I'm not sure that the QB didn't go rogue on that play. If that is a called naked bootleg, the RB would be carrying out the fake by going into the line of scrimmage with both hands over an imaginary ball.

Yeah. Folsom doesn’t have the bleachers up over the edge of the stadium. Maybe the TCU stadium from 2023? But I truly don’t know.

The player that made the tackle was #35, who was on defense at the start of the play. It looks odd because he ended up along the sideline with the players rushing on the field, but he was part of the defense at the start of the play.
