You're totally right about the range—RFID/NFC usually needs close contact. But tools like Flipper Zero can boost range or spoof stuff in sneaky ways. It’s rare, yeah, but I treat it like locking my door even if I live in a chill neighborhood—just in case. Better paranoid than cardless, right? :)

Convenience is nice until someone clones your work badge or MetroCard from across the room.

I want it for security reasons, don't forget that there is flipperzero can do that 🙂
