UNION CITY, Ga. — July 10, 2025 — A semi-truck collided with a CSX freight train Wednesday afternoon in Union City, Georgia, injuring four people and igniting a fire that severely damaged the lead locomotive—a historically significant engine known as GM50. The crash occurred around 2:24 p.m. near the intersection of Stonewall Tell Road and Westbrook Road, according to South Fulton Police.
