It was a solid one, something like a human nature/philosophy course. Remember also reading Things Fall Apart and several other titles that are escaping me 12 or so years later haha

Read this for an assignment back in my first year of university. For the first discussion we probably had to read around the first 60 pages or so. I devoured about 80% of the book in one sitting, truly a great read

I understand supporters of lower level clubs doing this if their former players move up and are successful. But top level clubs... just odd

The US is almost exceptionally homogeneous if anyone is being serious about it

Was just staying in a hotel in Ishigaki (part of Okinawa prefecture, Japan). They had a vending machine where you could get a 16oz can for ¥330, coming in around £1.65! Granted, a draught (of wildly varying size) seems to run more like ¥550-750.

Yeah I understand it. Just strange that team A tied with team B on points could be above B, but then BELOW B because team C also ends up level on points with A and B. Also means team A in this scenario is actually 1 position better off if team C outright passes both A and B vs all three level.

So even though Hartford is ahead of NCFC here, if they finished in a 3 way tie as things stand with Indy, somehow Hartford would be the bottom of those 3 by operation of Indy being on the same points total? That seems to make very little sense

Glad someone wrote about this - I follow Rhode Island FC in the USL-C, we have done this every kickoff this season and anecdotally I swear it has not once successfully resulted in us forcing a turnover from the subsequent throw (I'm probably wrong but it's annoying as all hell to watch)
