The next Scream movie, Scream 7, is scheduled for release in theaters on February 27, 2026. The announcement was made in October 2024 by director Kevin Williamson and actress Neve Campbell in a joint Instagram post.
Scream 7 will be the third Scream film for Spyglass and will likely pick up the plot threads from the previous two. Neve Campbell will return to the franchise as Sidney Prescott, and most of the core cast is expected to return as well. However, Jenna Ortega will not be reprising her role due to her commitments to the Netflix drama Wednesday. Melissa Barrera is also not reprising her role after allegedly being let go for pro-Palestinian comments.
