just watched the Coen Brothers TRUE GRIT again recently. one of those movies I wasn't crazy about on first watch, but that gets better every time I see it. EVERYONE in that movie is amazing but Bridges is a legend

saw a thread on twitter that seemed weird to me. people who didn't appear to be right wingers criticizing bluesky as "a sterilized safe space" or something. seemed more like bitterness that their favorite platform was losing popularity than anything. fascist systems should die immediately always

went to known shitty hardware store bc its the only one that has my dads brand of rechargeable tools. was in awe of and overwhelmed by the xmas section. they had a little grinch train that goes around your tree. Thought it was cool for a few minutes until the music of it wore on me. poor employees

i used to think there were just "non political ppl" who didn't have time to follow or get mad about politics or current events. it's proven more and more true that everybody cares, it just depends on what bothers them enough. and it has been pretty disturbing to find out which things bother some ppl

Don't know if anybody remembers, but prior to THE MATRIX being in theaters, their website was 1 page with a prompt that asked "What is the Matrix?" You could type in the box and send your guess to them. I wonder what they did with all those messages. Friend wrote a long desc. of a "penisvagina"
