Instructors who flat out ban laptops and phones, and rely only on ADA-required accommodations for disabilities to even consider allowing them in the classroom aren't - by design - trying to create all-inclusive/accessible classrooms. They're stuck on the point they're trying to make

They gave student-athletes free rides to a school (NCF) they really knew nothing about (no grades, senior thesis required, lots of independent work) just so they could play ball (see: 70+ baseball players in a 700 student school), so admin could claim strong 'enrollment'

Because the moment they try to break in or take physical action, the right gets to say "see?! this is what we wanted on Jan 6th, and the left is doing it, too!"

Suggesting people (and particularly children!) can be trained & prepared somehow to not internalize the systemic racism baked into this country, just having it "bounce off" shows his complete & utter lack of understanding what racism actually is & how it works. Or he's completely aware & is racist
