My curling team shut down the Madison curling club 2 nights in a row at a recent event. We are pretty good at this and knew we had 2 days of altitude advantage and that it absolutely wouldn't last more than 2 days before we were cooked. Also, we were DRUNK.

Wait until you hear about the smell in Greeley from the JBS (formerly Monfort) slaughterhouse. It's a running joke in Denver that you know when the snow is coming in from the NE because it "smells like Greeley". Also, the monforts still own the rockies and suck balls!!

Canadians (and others, but I interact with more Canadians and also speak the same language) have been complaining about Dropkin being too animated during mixed doubles.

Was in the locker room at the curling club 2x this week and heard older Canadians (we aren't in Canada) say things like... "I don't know about that Dropkin guy". 🙄

I can confirm that watching a stone barely nic a guard you needed to clear on the last stone in the 8th end after you and your teammate (in 4s) have just swept your ass off for almost 100' sucks so, so hard.

Keeping up and effectively sweeping a peel weight take-out can be a challenge when you AREN'T the one throwing the stone.... Watching Dropkin do it is insanely impressive and a little terrifying.

Not even new. In 99 I had a high-ish ACT, accidentally sent scores sent to Ole Miss (transposed a number or something). They sent me a targeted piece of recruiting mail every week for 6 months including a birthday card that showed up on my actual birthday (in July!!!). I'm from Colorado.

Important to clarify here that around the same time John Evans was the territorial governor of CO and busy murdering Cheyenne/Arapaho and getting mountains named after him (Mt Blue sky, nee Mt Evans) ahead of Boulder being given state university as a runner up prize to Pueblo getting state prison.

I think Boulder created this genre and sports venue isn't the only aspect. Those people think the entire university ruined "their town."
