Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! I spent it with some new friends and had a great time. I'm still plugging away at my stories and hope to have something out by New Years, but until then, have this holiday greeting from Ike and Vivian.

The RSX-4 was one of the last projects made by ALCO-GE as a partnership. It was made in response to a US Army road locomotive design bid; as with most ALCO-GE locomotives of this era, the electrical equipment and rotating gear were sourced by GE and assembly and fabrication was done by ALCO. Behold the often misunderstood RSX-4. Contrary to popular belief, these aren’t actually MRS-1’s; that name belongs to the EMD of similar design. They’re also ALCO built, but the military contract was through GE and thus these were considered GEs. Confused yet? I’ll have more info as I post more WIPs

I have a degree in railroad operations and operate trains in sunny Southern California because my parents thought it was a good idea to take me to a railroad museum when I was 2 without considering the monumental repercussions

wonder when this whole AI craze will blow over. personally, this whole scramble to market and personify AI as anything remotely close to "helpful" feels like a weak attempt to rationalize the existence of something we already had.
AI isn't even that smart; it's just using what we told it to think.

got the time to go down to Harbor Freight to get the tools necessary to work on my stuff so I have Even More Cars In Service!! also a new piece of power and a hint at what I plan to model with my full layout. I also have a layout plan that will be revealed soon…🤫
