"Land acknowledgments tend to reinforce the myth of Native disappearance and irrelevance. In calling attention to dispossession, they often miss the point that Native Americans survived and are having a renaissance in culture and sovereignty."--Kathleen DuVal 🗃️ www.nytimes.com/2025/01/05/o...

In 1979, Jimmy Carter installed solar panels on the White House. In 1986, Ronald Reagan tore them down along w/Carter’s clean energy funding.

This sums up the difference between the two men & political parties. Investing in solutions for the future vs canceling progress to score political points.

TRUMP’S TAX-CUTS:

🔘If you make $27,000/year, your taxes will go up $790

🔘If you make $56,000/year, your taxes will go up $1530

🔘If you make $200,000/year, your taxes will go up $610

🔘If you make $1 million+/year, your taxes will go down $36,320

SEE HOW THIS WORKS?

The day America decided to ignore Jared Kushner's $2 billion from the Saudis, and put an insurrection-inciting convicted felon back in the White House, is the day I stopped giving a shit about any "moral high ground."

I hope President Biden takes his "presidential immunity" out for a fucking spin.

1. The conventional explanation for food deserts—that these places are too poor or too rural to generate enough spending on groceries, or too Black to overcome racist corporate redlining — fail to grapple with a key fact: food deserts didn’t used to exist. My new piece in The Atlantic.
