Why can’t I just be myself and make friends?? What is getting in the way?? Why do I shut down so easily in group social situations??

It’s not like people haven’t been inviting or welcoming to me socially, something has turned off in my brain socially and I don’t know how to turn it back on and it’s really disheartening because it feels like it’s out of my control and it’s a feedback loop

I’m lonely and not good at making friends and this is my fault but I don’t know to fix it and I’m venting about it here because I know no one will see it
