Questions for everyone and if SCOTUS is watching. Will SCOTUS save the checks and balances in the constitution or will they prove that they were bought? They have a an opportunity to show the world that the great experiment can work. Unfortunately the USA as we know it rests in their hands.

Why do people say the government is taking “my” money when they pay income taxes when price of goods, compensation, sales proceeds, etc already includes the tax when negotiated?

Saw recent announcement that Chipotle is raising prices due to inflation. Wondering if at the same time its CEO will receive a pay raise or bonus for this year ingenious original outside the box plan to raise net profits. A reason to justify their pay as an indispensable employee.
